During an interview in 1995, friend and engineer Wayne Connolly mentions seeing the band play a show at the Knitting Factory in New York in front of six people, and that it was "one of the first gigs they did [in the US]".
Though there is no evidence for the show, if it did take place it was likely during the New Music Seminar which was held 20-24 July 1993. (You Am I played a show on the 24th July at Irving Plaza as part of the NMS. )
